Oriire Abduction: Seun Ashamu Expresses Relief as Abducted School Children, Teachers Regain Freedom
The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) candidate for Oyo Federal Constituency (OFC) and former Oyo State Commissioner, Barr. Seun Temilolu Nurudeen Ashamu, has expressed profound joy over the safe return of the school children and teachers abducted in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State. In a heartfelt message shared on his official Facebook page, Ashamu described the development as a huge relief and an answer to the prayers of the victims’ families and all well-meaning Nigerians who had anxiously awaited their safe return.
He appreciated the unwavering efforts of the security agencies, the Oyo State Government, and everyone who played a role in securing the freedom of the abductees. According to him, the return of the victims is a welcome development that reflects the commitment of those involved in ensuring their safety.
While celebrating the successful rescue, the former commissioner expressed sadness over the loss of one life during the unfortunate ordeal. He prayed that Almighty God would grant the deceased eternal rest, comfort the bereaved family, and give them the strength to bear the painful loss, while also urging sustained support for security agencies and collective commitment to safeguarding lives and property across the state.
