Ogunlade Commends Security Agencies, Gov. Makinde on Release of Orire Abduction Victims
The Executive Chairman of Ogbomoso North Local Government, Hon. George Gbadegesin Ogunlade, has expressed profound joy over the safe release of the teachers and students who were abducted in Yawota and Esin Ele communities of Orire Local Government Area.
Describing the development as a great relief to the affected families and the people of Oyo State, Hon. George Ogunlade thanked Almighty God for His divine protection over the victims throughout their ordeal.
The Chairman commended the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his steadfast commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of the people through deliberate investments in security architecture and unwavering support for security agencies across the state.
According to Hon. George, the successful rescue once again demonstrates the Makinde administration’s resolve to ensure that criminal elements have no safe haven in Oyo State. He noted that the Governor’s leadership continues to strengthen collaboration among security agencies, local intelligence networks, and community stakeholders in the fight against insecurity.
Hon. George also applauded the gallant efforts of the Nigerian security agencies, local vigilante groups, Amotekun, hunters, and all individuals who participated in securing the freedom of the victims. He described their courage, professionalism, and sacrifice as worthy of recognition and appreciation.
While rejoicing with the rescued teachers, students, their families, and the entire people of Oyo State, the Chairman urged residents to remain vigilant, cooperate with security agencies, and continue to provide credible information that will assist in preventing criminal activities within their communities.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting all initiatives of Governor Seyi Makinde aimed at strengthening peace, security, and sustainable development across Oyo State.
Hon. George Ogunlade concluded by praying for the speedy physical and emotional recovery of the released victims, expressing confidence that with continued collaboration between government, security agencies, and the people, Oyo State will remain one of the safest states in Nigeria.
