The Yoruba Youth Council, YYC, has congratulated Alhaji Rahmon Akintunde Alawode on his coronation as Mogaji of Ifatayo-Alawode Compound, Ibadan.
The Council described the elevation as a testament to character, service to humanity, and commitment to preserving Ibadan’s cultural heritage.
YYC expressed appreciation to His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, for granting royal approval for the title. The Council commended the monarch for his inclusive leadership and for creating opportunities for youths in family and community administration.
“The coronation of Mogaji Alawode is not only a personal honour but also a reaffirmation that the traditional institution remains a platform for nurturing visionary leaders who will uphold the values and integrity of Ibadanland,” the Council said.
YYC also commended Okanlomo Oodua, Chief Dotun Sanusi, for his support for youth empowerment, community development, and the promotion of Yoruba culture and traditions.
On behalf of Yoruba youths nationwide, the Council congratulated the Ifatayo-Alawode family and the people of Ibadanland. It prayed that the new Mogaji be granted wisdom, strength, and good health to serve effectively.
