LAUTECH SUG Commissions Newly Renovated Students’ Union Building
MOUTHPIECE NGR reports that the Students’ Union Government Executives of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso under the leadership of President Adeboye Anuoluwa commissioned has fully renovated Students’ Union Building known as Kudirat Abiola Building.
The Kudirat Abiola Building which is the secretariat house of the Students’ Union Government has been abandoned for a long time and is overdue for renovation.
A statement obtained by MOUTHPIECE NGR on Tuesday indicated that the gesture was part of his campaign promises.
The statement said: “As promised during their campaigns, the ‘R’ of ARISE agenda which stands for Renovation pushed the present administration led by Adeboye Anuoluwa to renovate the Kudirat Abiola Building.
“ Meanwhile, the renovation project was completely done through the Union’s internally generated revenue from commercial transporters on campus as disclosed by the SUG President and the building was commissioned today by the LAUTECH Global Alumni President, Hon. Onilede Solomon JP.”
While commissioning the fully renovated building, the LAUTECH Global Alumni President, Hon. Solomon Onilede applauded the SUG Executives for executing the laudable project and encouraged them to do more of it.
However, the Dean of Students’ Affairs, Prof. A.O Ige while delivering his speech, extoled the SUG Executives ably led by Adeboye Anuoluwa for making judicious use of their Internally Generated Revenue.
He then tagged them ‘The Unusual Executives’.
In his remark, the SUG President, Adeboye Anuoluwa, while appreciating the support of the University Management, Office of Dean of Students’ Affairs, LAUTECH Alumni Association, and the students’ populace, he reiterated that his team will continue to be committed to fulfilling their ARISE agenda, one of which is the Renovation of the Students’ Union Building.
He equally assured everyone that the building would be properly maintained and used for its purpose.
