You Bought A Fake Party Through The Backdoor, Hit Your Heads On Zuma Rock — Lere Olayinka Mocks Atiku, ADC Coalition

The Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Lere Olayinka, has mocked former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and his allies over the court judgment sacking the David Mark-led leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Olayinka, in a statement made available to MOUTHPIECE NIGERIA on Thursday, described the ADC coalition as a “Gbajue Party” purchased through the backdoor.

He argued that the coalition failed to follow due process in taking over the party’s structure.

“You needed to take over a political party. You made the National Chairman of the party to RESIGN. After resignation, National Chairman of the party pronounced a Caretaker Committee led by David Mark. Person wey don resign o. Na him dey constitute Caretaker Committee,” Olayinka wrote.

He questioned the constitutional basis for the takeover, asking what the party’s constitution says should happen upon the resignation of the National Chairman.

“Is it that a Caretaker Committee will be constituted or the Deputy National Chairman will take over? In their desperation and political foolishness, they bought a party through the Back Door,” he said.

According to him, instead of buying over the entire National Working Committee and ensuring all members resigned before constituting a Caretaker Committee, the coalition only got the National Chairman to their side.

“The National Chairman did them GBAJUE (419), handed over a FAKE PARTY to them, and moved. We warned them then, but they abused us. Now that they have hit their political heads on Zuma Rock, they are blaming the judiciary,” he added.

Olayinka maintained that the judgment would have remained the same regardless of the court that decided the matter.

“Meanwhile, even if that matter was adjudicated upon by Baba Oyin Adejobi of Kootu Asipa, the results would have still been the same,” he stated.

The Federal High Court in Abuja had earlier on Thursday sacked the Senator David Mark-led executives of the ADC and invalidated all actions taken by them, including the nomination of Atiku Abubakar as the party’s presidential candidate for the 2027 elections.
