“Seeing You Smile Makes Me Strong”: Ogogo’s Last Message To Daughter Weeks Before Death

*Veteran Yoruba actor Taiwo Hassan*, popularly known as *Ogogo*, reassured his daughter weeks before he died, telling her that seeing her smile gave him strength.

His daughter, *Kira Taiwo*, shared their emotional WhatsApp exchange on her Instagram Story on *Monday*, a day after the actor died at *66*.

The conversation, dated *July 26*, showed Ogogo urging Kira not to cry.

_“How are you? I heard you are crying. Seeing you and your sisters smile is making me strong. If you cry, it will make me sad, and I will start to think,”_ he wrote.

The Muslim actor also encouraged her to trust in Allah:

_“Be strong. I am strong. Nothing is going to happen to me, insha Allah. If you do, then don’t cry, my princess.”_

Kira replied: _“Daddy, I’m not crying oo… don’t mind Haleemah. I trust in Allah, sir. I love you very much.”_

Ogogo responded: _“Love u too, my princess.”_

*Family Sought Medical Help*

The exchange came weeks before the family disclosed that Ogogo was battling *stage-four cancer* and appealed for medical assistance.

Kira and her sister, *Lima Taiwo*, made separate appeals on Instagram after his condition worsened.

Lima said they only discovered the severity of his illness about three weeks earlier because his appearance had not suggested he was seriously ill.

Kira later said chemotherapy was no longer an option and the family was seeking other treatment.

*Burial Arrangements*

Ogogo died at *about 3pm on Sunday*, according to a burial announcement by veteran actor *Jide Kosoko*.

He was buried in his hometown, *Ilaro, Ogun State*, on *Monday* according to Islamic rites.

A lying-in-state was held at *11am at the Pavilion, Ilaro*, while burial prayers took place at *10am at the Asade Agunloye Pavilion Ground*.
