Bashorun Wolekanle Celebrates Maulud Nabiyy, Calls for Peace, Unity and Compassion

IBADAN, Oyo State — The Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, Bashorun Akinwale Solomon Akinwole (Wolekanle), has felicitated with Muslims across Oyo State and beyond on the occasion of Maulud Nabiyy, commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

In a goodwill message marking the celebration, Bashorun Akinwole urged Muslims to draw inspiration from the life, teachings and exemplary character of the Holy Prophet, particularly his virtues of peace, compassion, tolerance, humility and justice.

He emphasised that Maulud Nabiyy should go beyond celebration, describing it as an opportunity for Muslims and the wider society to reflect on the enduring values of love, peaceful coexistence, selflessness and respect for humanity exemplified by Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

The Oyo State Local Government Service Commission Chairman also called on the people of the state to continue to promote unity, mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence, noting that collective commitment to these values remains essential to the progress and development of the state.

Bashorun Akinwole prayed for Allah’s continued guidance, protection and blessings upon the people of Oyo State, while wishing Muslims a peaceful, rewarding and spiritually uplifting Maulud celebration.

He further expressed confidence that the celebration would strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, compassion and communal harmony among residents of the state.
