*Aare Musulumi Congratulates Muslim Ummah on Hijrah 1448 AH, Calls for National Prayers, Peaceful Coexistence.*

The Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States, His Eminence Alhaji (Dr.) Dawud Makanjuola Akinola, has congratulated Muslims across Nigeria and across the world on the commencement of the Islamic New Year, Hijrah 1448 AH.

In a message issued by his Special Assistant on Media and Communications, Faysol Oluwakemi to mark the occasion, Alhaji Akinola described the beginning of the new Islamic calendar as a period for reflection on the lessons of the Hijrah of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), which exemplifies faith, sacrifice, perseverance, patience and unwavering devotion to Allah.

The foremost Islamic leader urged Muslims to embrace the values of righteousness, honesty, compassion and unity, noting that these virtues remain vital to individual growth and national development.

He also called on Nigerians to intensify prayers for the country, particularly against the persistent challenges of insecurity confronting many communities across the nation.

According to him, divine intervention, coupled with collective responsibility, is necessary to restore lasting peace and stability in Nigeria.

The Aare Musulumi further appealed to adherents of all faiths to continue promoting peaceful coexistence, mutual respect and understanding among one another.

He emphasized that national progress can only be achieved in an atmosphere of peace, harmony and cooperation between Muslims and non Muslims.

Alhaji Akinola encouraged Muslims to use the new Islamic year as an opportunity to strengthen their relationship with Allah, support the less privileged and contribute meaningfully to the development of their communities.

He prayed that Allah grants Nigeria peace, security, prosperity and unity, while also blessing the Muslim Ummah with good health, spiritual growth and abundant rewards throughout the year.

The Aare Musulumi wished Muslims a peaceful, prosperous and spiritually fulfilling Hijrah 1448 AH.
