SMATO Boosts Education in Ogo-Oluwa/Surulere with Educational Materials Distribution

On Thursday, October 16, 2025, Hon. Ojo Sunday Makanjuola (SMATO), representing Ogo-Oluwa/Surulere Federal Constituency and Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Solid Minerals, demonstrated exemplary leadership and representation by distributing educational materials to selected primary and secondary schools in Ogo-Oluwa and Surulere Local Governments, Oyo State, through the Federal College of Forestry, Ibadan (Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria), under the Federal Ministry of Environment.

In his address, Hon. Ojo Makanjuola emphasized the crucial role of education in societal growth and national development, highlighting the transformative impact of providing adequate learning materials.

He described the initiative as a strategic step towards enhancing educational standards in his constituency.

Hon. Makanjuola, who commended Governor Seyi Makinde’s leadership and expressed gratitude to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the platform to serve, equally thanked his constituents for their unwavering support, which enabled him to represent them in the 10th National Assembly.

Highlighting the significance of the exercise, the lawmaker noted that the distributed items would go a long way in easing the learning process for students who are the future leaders of tomorrow.

He further extended immense gratitude to the teachers for their tireless service and dedication in imparting knowledge, praying that God strengthens and rewards them abundantly for their invaluable contributions to nation-building.

The items distributed included school bags, whiteboards, mathematical sets, exercise books, and other essential stationery; all aimed at improving teaching and learning conditions in the beneficiary schools.
