Father Who Accused LAUTECH of Baby Swap, Struggles with Child’s Sickle Cell Care
Adediji Moses, a man living with sickle cell disease (SC), has raised concerns over the alleged swapping of his baby at birth at LAUTECH Teaching Hospital. According to him, despite being SC and his wife being AA, their child was confirmed SS after several medical tests, which experts say is biologically improbable.
Adediji claims he was threatened by the hospital while trying to seek answers, forcing him to remain silent for a while.
Now, he is calling on the government to intervene, urging the hospital to provide proper care for the child.
Adediji insists he is not demanding the child be returned but wants the hospital to ensure the sickle cell child gets the best treatment and care, as the financial strain of managing the condition has overwhelmed his family to the point of street begging.
