Best Legacy College of Education (BELCOED), a leading private institution in Ogbomoso, has announced the commencement of its annual scholarship program for the 2024-2025 academic session.
In a statement signed by the Director of the institution and the PDP Chieftain, Hon. John Adisa Oke (PhD), the college unveiled scholarship offers targeted at indigent students from the Ogbomoso zone. This initiative aims to ease financial burdens and expand access to quality education for underprivileged students.
Hon. Oke revealed that the collection of forms is currently ongoing and called on youths in Ogbomoso and diaspora, as well as parents, to seize this opportunity. The scholarship covers a three-year National Certificate in Education (NCE) program in various courses in the School of Sciences, Languages, Vocational Education, and Early Childhood Education.
He further shared that numerous beneficiaries have successfully graduated through this program in previous years and urged potential applicants to take advantage of this year’s offering before the application deadline.
“This is to officially announce the commencement of the Best Legacy College of Education (BELCOED)’s annual scholarship program for indigent students in Ogbomoso,” Oke stated.
“This initiative, which I proudly inherited from my late father, is valued at millions of Naira and is part of our continuous effort to uplift the less privileged in our community. By providing access to quality education, we hope to help these students realize their full potential.”
Hon. Oke emphasized that, even after his father’s passing, he has remained committed to sustaining the scholarship scheme.
“The program has made a significant impact on the lives of many impoverished students in Ogbomoso, helping them to achieve their academic goals. We are proud to continue this legacy, which has contributed immensely to the development of our community.”- he added
