PHOTOS: Oyo Deputy Gov declares open Gilden Scholars Academy in Ibadan
The Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, has declared open the Gilden Scholars Academy located at Idishin, Jericho GRA, Ibadan, which was built by Hon. (Mrs) Yeye Adenike Aderibigbe Fauziyat Remi-Olarinde, the Supervisory Councilor for Women Affairs and Special Duties in Irepo Local Government.
During the ribbon cutting ceremony, the Deputy Governor, who was flanked alongside his wife, Chief (Mrs) Ajibola Lawal, noted that the school is for the growth of education development and humanity in Oyo state.
He commended the founder for the laudable initiative and urged other-well meaning members of the society to cultivate the idea of investing in projects that will have a direct impact on the lives of the people.
The event had in attendance the Oyo Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abdul-waheed Soliu Adelabu; Irepo Local Government Chairman, Hon. Tunde Taoheed Olayiwola (TT), Deputy Governor’s aides and Irepo House Leader, Alh (Hon) Saliu Sarafadeen Ayinde, popularly known as SASAY.
Also in attendance were members of Kishi Progressive Union (KPU), newly appointed Secretary of Irepo Local Government, Abdul-Baki Muhammad Jamiu and host of others.
The school proprietor and proprietress however extended their gratitudes to the Deputy Governor and his wife, as well as other notable dignitaries for gracing the occasion.
