Koleoso: Oyo Deputy Gov commiserates with family in Saki, assures of Govt participation in burial

As part of the government’s efforts to provide the late Michael Koleoso with a befitting burial, the Deputy Governor of Oyo state, Barr. Abdul-raheem Adebayo Lawal, paid a condolence visit to the deceased’s hometown in Saki, on Saturday.

The state government, had earlier this month, during a condolence visit to the late chief Koleoso’s family at his Akobo house in Ibadan, pledged to participate in the activities leading to his final burial.

The Deputy Governor described Chief Koleoso as a revered father and iconic leader who lived exemplary life in all ramifications.

He said Baba Koleoso bestrode the landscape of business, politics as a colossal, and has made significant achievements for his people as a community leader.

Barr. Lawal, who hinted that late Chief Koleoso knew he was leaving, urged the family and the good people of Saki land not to mourn too much but give thanks to God over a good life well spent.

He said: “Death is inevitable. But we are happy that baba lived a fulfilled worthy life. Oyo state appreciates his contributions, even at critical moments of our lives. May the good lord accept his homecoming. Amen.”

Barr. Lawal, who equally visited the Ajegunle Baptist Church, to commiserates with them over the sad loss, prayed that God would boost the church even after the passing of the late Koleoso.

He noted that the late chief was always at the forefront of giving to the cause of God.

“We are here mainly to condone and console you to express the commitment of our administration to the lofty ideas baba had for Oke-ogun. There were so many things in his mind including state creation. Baba Koleoso was so passionate about the development of the Oke-ogun,” he said.

Rev. Nathaniel Adetunji Adegoke explicitly praised the Deputy Governor for assisting him in the past, in addition to expressing his gratitude for the visit.

He equally commended Governor Makinde led administration for his good governance, stressing that the current administration has performed creditably well.

While extolling Babalaje’s virtues, the pastor stated that his numerous good deeds during his life had made no one expect him to die.

He, however, urged the current administration to continue with its people friendly policies, just as he also appealed to the state government for the construction of Igbope-Igboho road.
