Former Accountant General: Oyo has lost one of its Best, says Deputy Gov

The Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barr Abdul Raheem Adebayo Lawal today at Irawo in Atisbo Local Govt of Oyo State, described the death of a formal Accountant General of the Federation,Mr Niyi Otunla as a great loss the country.

The Deputy Governor who stood in for the Governor of the state at the funeral service of the late accountant general hinted that the deceased gave his best to Oyo state while serving in the capacity of the state accountant general.

The outstanding performance at the state level opened a greater opportunity to the deceased to become the AG of the federation.

Barr Lawal noted that late Niyi Otunla displayed a high sense of professional competence everywhere he served.

He pointed out that the late accounting guru would be sorely missed not only by the state but by the entire country.

In his message at the funeral, the former conference president of the Lagos Central Baptist Conference, Revd Kehinde Babarinde, described late Niyi Otunla as a complete gentleman who fostered unity among various people during his time.

According to the clergyman, the memory of the late accountant general would remain.

The funeral service was attended by the wife of the deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs)Ajibola Lawal, two former deputy Governor s, Iyiola Oladokun, Adeyemo Alake, former Chief Judge of the state,Mukhtar Abimbola, former SSG, Dele Adigun, Head of Service, Olubunmi Oni and many others.
