LG Polls: PDP DNC, Arapaja, Congratulates PDP Chairmanship Candidates, Commends Gov. Makinde, OYSIEC
The Deputy National Chairman (South) of the People’s Democratic Party, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja has congratulated all candidates of the party in the 33 local government area on their victory at yesterday’s local government election.
In a congratulatory statement personally issued and made available to journalists though his Personal Assistant, Bamitale Ibrahim, Amb. Arapaja described their remarkable success as the will of the Almighty God.
He stressed that it is a thing of joy that the sacrifices made by the party and all its candidates in the build up to the election in terms of mobilization, sensitization and rigorous campaigns tour to wards to wards, communities, landlords associations have yielded positive result for the party
Amb. Arapaja lauded the electorates in the state for appreciating the good works that Governor Makinde has been doing by coming out enmasse and cast their votes for candidates of the PDP at yesterday’s election.
He equally commended the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde and the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission under its Chairman, Barr. Isiaq Olagunju (SAN) for leaving up to the promise of conducting free, fair and credible election despite the ranting of the opposition parties in the State.
While calling on the opposition candidates that lost at yesterday’s election to accept the outcome in good faith and join hands with PDP led government for continuous development in the state, Amb. Arapaja equally advised the winners to be magnanimous in victory by working so hard for the realization of the vision of Governor Seyi Makinde’s developmental agenda at the grassroot level.
