BIRTHDAY: Your contributions in Yorubaland immeasurable— Iyaloja General of Oyo state, Abeo felicitates Aare Musulumi
The Iyaloja General of Oyo state, Princess Folashade Azeezat Abeo NURUDEEN has congratulated the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States, Alh. Daud Makanjuola Akinola (De-Damak) as he celebrates his birthday.
Abeo, who was recently honoured by the Yoruba Council Worldwide (Igbimo Apapo Yoruba Lagbaye) as Aare’birin Iyaniwura Oodua Agbaiye, thanked Almighty Allah for keeping De-Damak alive in good health and affluence and described him as a blessing to Oyo state and the entire Yoruba land.
In her congratulatory message on Thursday, she commended his enormous achievements to the advancement of the Yoruba race and the entire Muslim community, stating that there is no question that he has committed his life to serving humanity and advancing Islam.
Abeo, who added that, the Aare Musulumi have been at the forefront of everything honourable, noble, and humanitarian, said he’s known to be a Peace-keeper between religion leaders too.
She insisted that the only reason he is receiving Allah’s unending favour and blessings is because of his kind act, asking him to never stray from the path of righteousness on which he is currently plodding.
The Southwest Coordinator, Market Traders Association of Nigeria MATAN, equally commended the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland for awarding scholarship to the best graduating student of the Lagos State University, Aminat Yusuf who scored a CGPA of 5.0 and three other graduates of the university’s Faculty of Law who finished with first-class honours.
The support, according to her, is a source of pride for the graduating students and will also serve as a motivating factor for them as they continue to serve as models for Muslims and followers of other religions worldwide.
She emphasized that the achievements of Aminat and the others being honoured are a source of pride and have demonstrated to the world that wearing hijab or covering head does not impair intelligence, adding that the Aare Musulumi’s reception for them recently served as a message that education is the best legacy.
“On the occasion of your birthday, Alh. Daud Makanjuola Akinola (De-Damak), I, the Iyaloja General of Oyo State, joyfully felicitate you as the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo, and Delta States.
