“I Wish I Stayed Home That Day” — Nigerian Woman Who Lost Both Legs In Accident Shares Regrets
MOUTHPIECE NGR reports that a Nigerian woman, Valentine, who lost both legs in an accident has shared a heartbreaking post, wishing she had stayed home on that fateful day.
Valentine, in a viral post on social media revealed that the accident occurred on February 13, 2024, altering the course of her life.
“Take me back to 13/02/2024. I would’ve stayed at home that day oo,” she wrote.
Reflecting on her life after the accident, Valentine said she lost her freedom and a part of the life she knew.
“These used to be my legs… before an accident changed everything. Since that day, life has never been the same. I lost more than just my legs — I lost a part of the life I knew, the freedom I once had, and the person I thought I would always be,” she wrote emotionally.
“But somehow, through all the pain, tears, and changes, I’m still here. I may never get back the life I had before, but I’m learning to embrace the life I have now. My story changed, but it did not end. Some scars are reminders of what we survived.”
