Abia state has since creation not been very lucky in governance which has left pensioners, school Teachers, Hospital management board staff and other parastatals to suffer for a long time. 

The state has been yearning for a real change in government from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

The anticipated change would have come in 2015 but for the fact that the men holding the state down came up with a slogan of ‘Ngwa course’, it was not very possible for the votes of Abians to count. 

Because of the 2022 electoral Act and the introduction of the BVAS, the masses came out to vote out the real enemies of the state. 

The result would have been truncated as usual but for the fact that the eagle eyes of the labour party faithfuls couldn’t allow it work, change took the centre stage. 

The viral and continuous jubiliation in Abia state was a clear signal that the state has been liberated and the new Abia long anticipated had come through Dr Alex Chioma Otti who has been consistent for the fight of this change.

The Governor Elect Dr Alex Chioma Otti , a true administrator, technocratic and informed developer of this millennium will use his wealth of administrative experience to reclock Abia for it to be moving in a clockwise direction. 

Reliable technocrats are most likely to make the top list of his appointments for a better Abia.

The likes of Mr John Nwosu hails from Umuehim Nvosi ( Alex Ottis Village). He is a seasoned Banker with over 20 years experience. He is one of those that have been groomed by Dr Otti himself in the Banking industry. He is a close trusted confidant of Dr Otti. He is believed to be one of the major ‘behind the scenes’ supporters of Alex Otti since 2014. While he has been tipped for the position of Finance commisioner because of his background, others have fingered him as the Deputy Chief of Staff because of his closeness to the Otti family.

Chief Acho Obioma ( chomen) is from umuopara Umuahia South local government Area of Abia state.

He is a former member of the 4th Assembly of the National Assembly between 1999 – 2003.

He is a contractor and the current Director General of Dr. Alex Chioma Otti campaign organization and also served as labour party state collation agent for the 2023 general election.

Chomen as he is fondly called was part of the Apc Abia state chapter members who defected to Labour party in 2022.

He was a factional chairman of Apc in Abia state a position he held until the supreme court affirmed chief Ononugbu of High chief Ikechi Emenike faction as the authentic chairman of the party

Engr. Chinedu Onyeizu 
Engr Chinedu onyeizu is a native of Obingwa local government Area of Abia state. He is a petroleum engineer from the prestigious federal university of technology Owerri.

He is the chief executive officer of AfriPERA limited, a strategic consulting service company.

The former Chevron petroleum engineer was the Abia South senatorial district candidate of labour party in the just concluded general election where he lost to Dist Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe.

He is a masters degree holder in business Administration institute of technology Boston USA.

Mr. Chidi Onyeukwu 
Mr. Chidi onyeukwu Ajaegbu is a native of osisioma local government Area of Abia state.

He is a chattered account with many years experience as both a Banker and a stock broker.

He is a fellow of the institute of chattered accountant (ICAN) and chatted institute of stock brokers ( CIS).

He is currently the CEO of heritage capital market limited.

He is a technocrat and a close confidant of Dr Alex Chioma Otti OFR.

In 2019, he joined politics and contested to represent Abia central senatorial district on the platform of APGA, an election he came 3rd.

He is a masters degree holder in banking and finance from the university of Lagos.

Pastor Dike Nwankwo.

Pst. Dike Nwankwo is a native of Asa in Ukwa West local government Area of Abia state.

He is a graduate from the prestigious university of portharcourt. 

The pastor turned politican A very close Ally of Dr. Alex Chioma Otti.

He was a stakeholder in the All progressive congress and contested to Represent Ukwa East and West federal constituency in 2018/19 Apc primaries which he was unsuccessful.

In 2021, he contested for the position of state chairman of Apc in Abia state with the support of Dr Alex Chioma Otti.

In April 2022, he joined the Apc leaders who was led by Dr. Alex Chioma Otti to join the labour party in Abia state.

A rumour in June 2022 heard it that he was penciled down to be the deputy gubernatorial candidate of labour party.

Mr. Uzor Nwachukwu

Uzor Nwachukwu is a native of Nneoyi village in Amaise Autonomous community in lsiala Ngwa south local government Area of Abia state.

He studied mediation at the University of portharcourt.

He is the chief executive officer of Suntap technologies limited. 

He is a certified mediator and a fellow of institute of chartered mediators and conciliators.

In 2014, he was made the secretary board of trustees of Abia first a political structure of Dr. Alex Chioma Otti which he used to contest for the Governorship election of Abia in 2015.

He is a close Ally who believe in the Dr Alex Chioma Otti project.

Hon. Luke Ukara Onyeani is from Arochukwu local government Area of Abia state.

He was a member of the private sector until 2014/2015 election when he contested and won the APGA nomination to represent Arochukwu state constituency in the state house of Assembly. 

He won the election in 2015 and served for 4years. He sought for reelection but lost the APGA ticket to the current occupant of the seat.

He is a strong ally of Dr. Alex Chioma Otti and played very strategic role in his election.

He is married with children.

Chief Mike Akpara is from Arochukwu local government Area of Abia state.

He grew through the ranks in his banking career but retired in 2015 as Regional manager of Diamond bank PLC.

Mike Akpara is a seasoned technocrat and is rumored to be either the chief of staff to the incoming Governor or the commissioner for finance and economic planning, same position a former banker Chief obionna Oriaku played in the first tenure of the outgoing administration.
