Omituntun Solidarity Group Welcomes Makinde, Campaign Council To Oluyole Saturday 

A sociopolitical group within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo state, Omituntun Solidarity Group (OSG) has expressed its readiness to receive the state governor, Seyi Makinde, the deputy governor, Barrister Bayo Lawal and the governorship Campaign Council to Oluyole local government on Saturday.

The Oluyole chapter of the group while welcoming Governor Makinde to the local government also vowed to deliver bloc votes for the Governor at the March 11 governorship election.

According to the group’s statement, Makinde’s campaign trail will move enroute Idi Ayunre to New Garage from where it would head to Sanyo down to Ago then to Olunde to Olomi then terminates at Muslim urging residents and people of the areas to troop out in their large numbers to welcome the governor.

A statement signed by the Chairman, Oluyole Chapter of Omituntun Solidarity Group, Oloye Moruf Adebayo Abija, on Thursday evening indicated that the group is ready to vote and deliver the local government to all PDP candidates in the coming general elections.

The governor’s scheduled visit to Oluyole on Saturday February 4 Western mirror gathered is part of Makinde’s ongoing political campaign ahead of the March 11 governorship election.

“We want to use this opportunity to welcome our father and leader, the executive Governor of Oyo state, Engr Seyi Makinde to Oluyole local government on Saturday 4th of February.

“This is to also reaffirm our unwavering dedication and commitment to the reelection of Governor Makinde who has shown the world how to be a servant leader and showing leadership by practical examples.

“It is important to note that on the basis of governor Makinde’s four cardinal pillars upon which the present administration is built which include Quality Education, Health, Security, and Economic expansion, we make bold to rate our amiable governor 10/10.

“It is easy for detractors and opposition to seek political relevance by deceitfully throwing political missiles and tantrums aimed at derailing this present administration but with Makinde’s eagle eye focus on his goal, Oyo state has continued to grow in line with desired expectations from the masses.

“On this note, we make bold to say that one good turn deserves another and as such Oluyole is more than ready for coming election even as we continue to take our campaigns to the hinterland and grassroots across the local government.” Abija said.

The Convener of the group in the state, Engr Akeem Olatunji, who is also the Publicity Secretary of PDP in Oyo state confirmed the development to Western mirror news when contacted.

 “Yes, governor Makinde is scheduled to visit Oluyole local government on Saturday as part of his reelection campaign for a second term of office.

“We’re very proud to witness these landmark achievements under the leadership of Governor Makinde and it is for this reason he has earned himself several nicknames such as Mr ‘talk and do’, God sent man (GSM), the pathfinder and so on.

“Omituntun 1.0 was a monumental success no doubt, even one of the Holy books, the Bible says, when the righteous rules, the people are happy and if you move into town, you’ll agree with me that Makinde’s street credibility on account of his achievements precedes his name and political campaign anywhere he goes.

“So, with joy and drums we will be welcoming our own God sent man to Oluyole on Saturday alongside the Deputy Governor, Barrister Bayo Lawal and the entire campaign team when the Governor will be addressing his people regarding Omituntun 2.0 and how to make Oyo state even better for us all.” Olatunji stated.
