‘Mama left an indelible imprint on the society’, says Ajibola Lawal as Ladoja, others attend funeral service of ex-Oyo speaker’s mother 

Eminent personalities and political functionaries, including former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Wife of Oyo State Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs) Ajibola Lawal, Chairman Oyo State Broadcasting Corporation, Prince Dotun Oyelade, Bashorun of Oyo town, among othe dignitaries on Saturday attended the burial of late Mrs Maria Oyeronke Adeleke and twenty years remembrance of Chief DR. DG Adeleke.

Mrs Oyeronke and DG Adeleke were the parents of former Speaker of Oyo State, Rt Adeolu Adeleke.

The funeral service which was held at Alaafia Oluwa Baptist Church, Fiditi, Afijio local government also had in attendance former commissioners, Mrs Kemi Jayeoba, Hon Bimbo Kolade, Hon Akeem Adeyemi, clergymen among others.

Mrs Lawal who represented the deputy governor, Barrister Abdulraheem Adebayo Lawal while speaking after the service eulogized the deceased for her invaluable service and significant contributions towards advancing the cause of humanity.

She hailed the late Oyeronke Adeleke for her love and compassion for humanity, saying she had left an indelible imprint on the society.

Mrs Lawal described the matriarch of the Adeleke family as a woman who spent her life time serving God and humanity.

“I know that we feel pains particularly members of the family but let us be comforted as she made her mark in life and she was a woman that made a great difference.

“She was someone who spent her life time serving God and humanity and was one of those mothers who inspired her children and others.

Reverend Dr. Ayo Alayande in his exhortation disclosed that the deceased lived an impactful life, adding that Nigerians should love one another by being charitable towards the promotion of humanity.

According to him, Nigerians should wholeheartedly embrace God in their daily lives by shunning anything capable of severing their relationship with God.
