Oyo widows association visits deputy Gov’s wife, pledges support

The Association of Oyo State Widows has reiterated their commitment to support the realization of Makinde/Bayo 2023 reelection bid.

These words of affirmation were received on Thursday during their courtesy visit to Mrs. Ajibola Lawal, the wife of the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, at their Bashorun residence in Ibadan.

The association’s leader, Hajiya Binta Ajoke expressed confidence in the Makinde-led administration on behalf of its members and added that one successful term merits another.

Having heap praised all giant strides facilitated by current administration, they charged the government to continue to prioritize the welfarism of those surviving wives in the face of challenges and current economic realities.

In her remarks, Mrs. Lawal expressed her gratitude for the visit and noted that women are important and a beacon of light in any progressive community.

“I want to thank you for this august visitation.

Yeye Bamofin of Kishi land added that their unwavering support and commitment towards the success of this administration and realization of the reelection bid are imperative and crucial.

She assured them of prioritisation of effective support system to assist them to cushion the effect of economic challenges faced by them.
