Governor Akeredolu appoints Sowore, one other as commissioners

Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has nominated two commissioner designates in his state.

The two are Akinwumi Samson Sowore and Prince Joseph Adeboboye Ologbese.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Richard Olatunde, has on behalf of the Governor issued a statement, and revealed that the names of the two nominees have been sent to the State House of Assembly for screening and approval.

Sowore originates from Ese-Odo Local Government Area of the state while Ologbese comes from Akoko South West Local Government.

“The two nominees are expected to replace the two former commissioners from the local government areas, Donald Ojogo and Gboyega Adefarati, who resigned their appointments to contest elective positions.”

Ojogo, who used to be the Commissioner for Information in the state, is the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, for Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency.

While Adefarati, who’s the son of the former governor of the state, Adebayo Adefarati is the candidate of the party for Akoko South West/Akoko South East Federal Constituency in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
