Oriire LG Chairman, Olateju flags off drilling of 20 boreholes, bridge construction, roads grading

The Executive Chairman, Oriire Local Government, Hon. Michael Olateju, has assured the indigents and residents of Oriire Council area of more developmental projects across the local council, Mouthpiece NGR reports.

Olateju made this statement while speaking with our correspondent during an official flag off drilling of 20 boreholes, construction of bridges and on-spot inspection of roads grading across the 10 wards of Oriire LG.

The council Chairman explained that the aim of the projects was to provide portable water for the people of Oriire in order to reduce the health hazards associated with drinking unhygienic water.

“Our concerns are centered on the need to reduce the health hazards associated with drinking unhygienic water and I intend to curb this health issues through this intervention.

While promising to deliver the projects in record time, Mr. Olateju hinted that all the 20 boreholes, grading of roads, construction of bridges would be delivered within one year noting that he was also working hard to bringing more democratic dividends to the indigents and residents.

“We are working assidiously hard to facilitate more economic prosperity to our farmers and we believe smooth road network would enhance the transportation of farm produce for better and prosperous economic relief.”

Olateju who listed Ojatuntun village to Ilodo village and Ikoyi to Alaja amongst roads graded further said Ahoro oko village bridge was also constructed.

He added that four boreholes have already been installed including areas in Iluju, Ayekale, Arowosegbe,and gbogun village.
