Oke LEGACY launches ‘GSM Unity Cup’ across Constituency

In a bid to boost the moral and mental mind of youths in preparation of the forthcoming elections, the Member, Oyo Local Government Service Commission, Hon. John Adisa Oke Ph.D popularly known as LEGACY has unveiled a football competition for youths in Ogbomoso North, South and Oriire Federal Constituency, Mouthpiece NGR reports.

The football competition themed “GSM Unity Cup” which is first edition will feature feature PDP youths across the three local governments in Ogbomoso under Oyo North senatorial district.

While meeting with ward youth leaders and three local youth leaders across the three local government Oke reiterated that the competition was instituted and designed to identify hidden talents among our youths and prepare them for new career path.

He called on the youths of his Federal Constituency to participate actively in the new football competition deliberately programmed to promote sports development at the grassroots.

“Let us encourage them to channel their productive energies to initiatives that will help the development of their minds, their bodies, grow them professionally in these areas and make us proud,” he said.

According to him, the formal unveiling of the competition, which comprises the selection of the teams among PDP youth in the three local government and presentation of materials to the participating teams, will soon kick off.

In their remarks, they commended the Makinde-led administration in his efforts to make Oyo State business-friendly and attractive for investors through sports and agribusiness.

They also appreciate the Governor for the renovation of Soun stadium which will be beneficial to the teeming youth in Ogbomoso.

The youths thanked Hon. John Oke for his continued and complimentary efforts towards the development of Ogbomoso through scholarship and wise investment in human capacity building.
