Birthday Tribute: Bolarinwa Personifies Greatness — Alhaji Shuaibu Yaman
The Former Governorship Aspirant in Kwara and Chieftain of All Progressive Congress (APC), Alhaji Shuaibu Yaman rejoiced with the Caretaker Chairman of the party, Honourable Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa, on the monumental occasion of his birthday celebration.
When outsiders move into politics they often struggle to adapt. They make mistakes because they do not understand the unique rhythms of politics, the fatal dangers of one word out of place. There is nowhere to hide. When there is a crisis in the private sector some of the top people disappear, refusing all requests for interviews. In politics that is not an option. Honourable ‘BOB’ unarguably is one of the best politicians who have been mastering politics for the dividend of democracy.
What are the qualifications that make a good leader? Bizarrely, the question is rarely posed. In order to become a nurse, teacher, police officer, doctor, lawyer, or train driver there are clearly defined requirements. The criteria needed for political leadership are vague if they exist at all. In a statement signed by Yaman as released through his media team, he extolled the party bigwig as genius and greatness personified.
He said, “Honourable Bolarinwa is a great leader par excellence: he is man of uncommon brilliance, sincerity and integrity who always find a way to convey what he stands for. He is a decent speaker and unique orator. When you make the decision to be amazing, strong and courageous, you will find that either you will be admired, envied or hated because you have fought a thousand battles and yet you are still standing and smiling.”
The Federal Commissioner For Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission, Alhaji Shuaibu Yaman described, “BOB possesses boundless energy and the ability to respond to unexpected crises. It is not enough to simply give the appearance of boldness in an emergency, or proclaim boldness while merely following media fashion. He is genuinely courageous with innate ability to resist orthodoxy. Finally, especially in a crisis, he is a leader who is indifferent to criticism and attacks from the media”.
