VIDEO: Heavy tension as Igboho, Bako saves 50,000 residents from land grabbers
There was pandemonium in the early hours of Tuesday as two land grabbers “Olatunji and Ayelamole” stormed Soka community with over 300 policemen to forcefully eject the residents from their homes.
Old men, women and Children were seen scampering for safety as policemen who came in company of thugs beat those who dare to challenge the illegal operation.
Mouthpiece NGR gathered that children, pregnant women and aged women were not speared of the beaten.
According to an eye witness, the prompt arrival of Chief Sunday Adeyemo AKA Igboho and Alhaji Babatunde Arowolo popularly known as Bako saved the helpless residents from being ejected.
The thugs were in a quick race immediately they sighted the presence of Igboho and Bako, and that averted to what could have led to lost of lives and properties.
Reacting to the issue, Engineer Rusewe appealed to Engineer Seyi Makinde to intervene into the brewing crises.
He said the two land grabbers have been disturbing the peace of the community for a very long time.
“This will be the sixth time the residents will pay for the land after many court verdicts”.
A resident of the community, Mr Ayokunle Sonaike Aka Ay Telecoms urged the commissioner for land and housing, Barrister Abdul Raheem to act fast in the interest of peace.
