BOMBSHELL: Oyo board chairman on the watch over elitist agenda— EEOP
A group under the auspices of Eagle Eyes of Oyo state Political Bureau ( EEOP) has raised alarm over what it described as elitist agenda of past administration by chairman of Oyo state board internal revenue.
In a statement made available to Mouthpiece NGR on Sunday by its coordinator, AYodele TS said the group is visibly on the nefarious and clandestine activities of one Aremo John Adeleke, the Chairman of Oyo State Board of Internal Revenue.
The statement in a title “The crafty Aremo John Adeleke on the watch”, accused the board chairman of silently aiding the agenda of past administration thereby denying Governor Makinde’s supporters the opportunity to work in the board.
It reads in part: “A nation can endure unbelief, but cannot endure injustice” Usman Dan Fodio.
“The eagle eyes of Oyo state political bureau is visibly on the nefarious and clandestine activities of one Aremo John Adeleke, the Chairman of Oyo State Board of Internal Revenue.
“This element has proven to be a mole planted by the agents of destabilization in the opposition APC to continue to pursue the elitist agenda of the past administration.”
“May it be recalled that the incubent Government of Governor Seyi Makinde was installed by the good people of Oyo state to restore utmost sanity to the system including the agency that is saddled with tax and internal revnue of the State. May it also be recalled that different political parties buried their political hatchets and collapsed their structures into PDP to ensure the victory of the incumbent governor, may the sacrifice of the stakeholders that participated in the process never be in vain.”
“We have taken keen cognizance of the crafty, nepotic, favouristic and obnoxious decision of the Internal Revenue heldman to cause dissatisfaction among the followers and supporters of Governor Seyi Makinde by throwing caution to the wind and by his opulent display of arrogance and craftily appointment of majorly members of APC to work in the Board whereas we have numerous qualified technocrats among the supporters and followers of the governor. We beg to challenge the rationale behind the decision to run a pseudo opposition administration in the Board of Internal Revenue.”
“We are also constrained to question the silent of the Honorable Commissioner of Finance on this systemic manipulation in favour of the opposition APC, does his silent means consent? We are worried of this twist and obvious betrayal not because of ourselves but for the Oyo State masses that stood their ground to ensure that Governor Seyi Makinde was duly declared as the governor against the conspiracy of the APC. We are also wary of the treachery of Aremo John Adeleke, because the masses can single out his activities to revolt against GSM, an action that will have enormous impact on the re-election of the Governor.”
“We also have in good authority that the Chairman of Board of Internal Revenue has been hubnobbing with the opposition and has been promised a ticket to run for an elective position as a reward for his sabotage of this present administration, little wonder, APC members dominated his list of appointment to the tune of over 80% of the appointees, there is no better time than now to challenge this political abnormality.”
“It is instructive to state that like the Doctor, we will not stop at diagnosis, but will go further to prescription and treatment. This case of Aremo John Adeleke’s case is politically endemic if not attended to urgently, the remedy we prescribed is total overhauling of the Board by replacing the incompetent opposition dominated officials with competent technocrats and compatriots from the ruling party(ies) in the state.”
“We demand for the sack of the Chairman and other APC members in the Board and the immediate replacement with competent hands from the ruling PDP and the coalition parties.
Our submission on this issue is religiously inclined, political exigent and Oyo people interest oriented.”
