‘Well Deserved’: Rep Smato Praises Makinde, Wife as Eleruwa Turbans Them Aare, Yeye Aare Soludero
The member representing Ogo-Oluwa/Surulere Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Makanjuola Smato, has congratulated the Executive Governor of Oyo State and Presidential Candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement, APM, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and his wife, Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde, on their installation as Aare and Yeye Aare Soludero of Ibarapaland by the Eleruwa of Eruwa, Oba Samuel Adegbola, Ajobo Olurin I.
In a congratulatory message on Sunday, Hon. Smato described the conferment of the prestigious traditional titles as well deserved and a testament to Governor Makinde’s years of dedicated service, purposeful leadership, and unwavering commitment to the people of Oyo State.
According to the lawmaker, the honour reflects the governor’s consistent efforts to ensure that governance in Oyo State is driven by responsibility, inclusiveness, and a genuine commitment to the welfare and development of all citizens across the 33 local government areas.
Hon. Smato noted that the recognition from the Eleruwa and the good people of Ibarapaland further underscores the high esteem in which the Makindes are held, not only in Oyo State but across Yorubaland, for their contributions to peace, unity, infrastructure development, and human capital growth.
He also extended heartfelt congratulations to Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde, describing her as a pillar of support to the governor and a compassionate leader in her own right through her numerous humanitarian and social intervention initiatives that have touched many lives across the state.
The federal lawmaker prayed that the new chieftaincy titles would bring greater honour, divine wisdom, sound health, and renewed strength to the governor and his wife as they continue in their noble service to humanity and to the development of Oyo State.
Hon. Smato further commended the Eleruwa of Eruwa for recognizing and celebrating excellence, noting that the decision to honour Governor Makinde and his wife is a clear indication that good governance and service to the people will always be acknowledged and rewarded by traditional institutions.
He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the Makinde-led administration and the APM in its quest to deliver more dividends of democracy to the people of Oyo State.
