True leadership goes beyond personal interests, says Ogunlade
…Pledges loyalty to Makinde as APM builds for victory
The Executive Chairman of Ogbomoso North Local Government, Hon. George Gbadegesin Ogunlade, has continued to demonstrate that true political leadership goes beyond personal interests, religious differences and temporary political challenges.
As a committed party man and grassroots politician, Ogunlade has chosen peace, unity and the collective interest of the people ahead of religious sentiments, particularly as the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) continues to strengthen its structure ahead of the 2027 elections.
For Ogunlade, the success of the party and the development of the people must remain the priority. His approach reflects a belief that political differences should never be allowed to divide the people or destroy the unity needed to build a stronger political movement.
While working to strengthen the APM at the grassroots, Ogunlade has also maintained his respect and loyalty to His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, whom he recognises as a leader in Oyo State politics.
The Ogbomoso North chairman has consistently positioned himself as a grassroots politician who understands the importance of listening to the people, working with party stakeholders and building relationships across different communities and interests.
His message remains clear: APM is determined to win from top to bottom, but achieving that objective requires unity, discipline, peace and a strong grassroots structure.
Ogunlade’s decision to prioritise peace over religious sentiment is therefore not a sign of weakness, but an indication of political maturity and commitment to the larger interest of the people.
As the political season gathers momentum, the chairman remains focused on strengthening the party, supporting its structures and ensuring that the voice of the grassroots remains central to the APM’s political journey.
