Just in: Okanlomo Oodua, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi Donates ₦10 Million to Bode Market Fire Victims
The Okanlomo Oodua and Bada Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, has announced a donation of ₦10 million to support traders affected by the devastating fire outbreak at Bode Agbo Market in Ibadan.
The donation was announced on Saturday following reports of the tragic incident that destroyed goods and means of livelihood belonging to many traders.
According to information made available to newsmen, the announcement was conveyed through Iyaloja Saratu Aduke, who visited the scene of the inferno on behalf of Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi.
Speaking during the visit, Iyaloja Saratu Aduke disclosed that the Okanlomo Oodua had wished to personally sympathize with the victims. However, due to his absence from Nigeria, he delegated the visit and extended his heartfelt condolences to all those affected by the unfortunate incident.
Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi described the fire disaster as a painful loss to the victims, many of whom depend on the market for their daily livelihood. He prayed for strength and comfort for the affected traders while expressing hope that they would recover from the tragedy.
As part of his intervention, the philanthropist announced a donation of ₦10 million to provide immediate relief and support to the victims as they begin the process of rebuilding their businesses.
He also called on well-meaning individuals, corporate organizations, and other public-spirited Nigerians to extend assistance to the affected traders, stressing that collective support would help ease their hardship and restore hope during this difficult period.
Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare of the people and urged residents to continue supporting one another in times of need, emphasizing that compassion and unity remain essential in overcoming moments of adversity.
