‘Mourn with Moderation,’ Oyo Deputy Gov Urges Families in Igboho, Saki
Oyo State Deputy Governor, Barr. Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, on Wednesday, visited Igboho to offer condolences to the PDP senatorial chairman of Oyo North Senatorial District, Hon. Yinusa Yusuf, on the recent passing of his wife, Alima Yusuf.
He also visited the chairman of Oorelope local government, Hon. Jacob Ogundiran, to express sympathy over the loss of his mother.
The Deputy Governor described both deaths as deeply painful, emphasizing the transient nature of life and the reality of mortality.
He urged the bereaved families to mourn with moderation and conveyed the Governor’s condolences, praying for strength to bear the irreplaceable losses.
Additionally, the Deputy Governor’s entourage traveled to Saki for a condolence visit to the family of the late Kehinde Adewuyi Adetola, widely known as Coach Kenny.
He expressed shock at his death, remembering Coach Kenny as a close, lively, and friendly individual who will be greatly missed.
Barr. Lawal highlighted the deceased’s good character and numerous good deeds, praying to God to grant him an eternal rest.
He, however, advised Coach Kenny’s wife and children to mourn moderately and prayed for them to find the fortitude to bear their irreparable loss.
