FOMWAN Praises Oyo SSG’s Humility, Lauds Him For Upholding the Norms and Values of Islam

..As He Marks Birthday Anniversary with Orphanage Home*

The Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN) has described the Secretary to the Oyo State Government, *Professor Musibahu Adetunji Babatunde*, as a practicing Muslim who embodies humility, God-consciousness, and a strong commitment to upholding the norms and values of Islam.

Dr. L.O. Dairo, the Oyo State Amirah of FOMWAN, gave the commendation on Thursday at the FOMWAN orphanage home in Akobo, Ibadan, during a brief ceremony to mark Professor Babatunde’s birthday anniversary with orphans and members of the association. 

The state Amirah further described the SSG as a cheerful giver and a consistent supporter of Islamic causes in the state. 

She noted that Professor Babatunde has been a longstanding member of FOMWAN and regularly attended its programs with his wife even before assuming political office.

“Professor Musbau’s life reflects the true essence of service to Allah and humanity. He is humble, God-fearing, and always ready to give to the cause of Islam. We urge others to emulate his good deeds, for the reward for good is abundant blessings from Allah,” Dr. Dairo said.

She, however, prayed for Allah’s continued guidance, long life, and prosperity for the celebrant, asking that he reap the fruits of his labor and receive abundant rewards from Allah.

The event, which featured special prayers, Tilawatul-Quran (Quranic recitation) for the celebrant, also included a generous donation from Professor Babatunde to the orphanage home. 

Items donated included staple foods, beverages, bags of rice, and other essentials, as part of his philanthropic gesture.

In her goodwill message, the *Head of Service, Mrs. Olubunmi Oni*, commended Professor Babatunde for choosing to celebrate his birthday with orphans, describing it as a thoughtful and rewarding act in the sight of Allah. 

She advised the children to take their studies seriously to achieve greatness in life and to always remember to give back to society.

“Congratulations to Professor Musbau. I pray that God will continue to be with you and your entire household,” she said.

Other goodwill messages came from the *Chairman of the Civil Service Commission*, who noted that “the reward for good is good,” and praised the SSG’s thoughtfulness. 

*The Deputy Chief of Staff, Hon. Kazeem Olayinka Adeniyi*, *Egbeda Local Government Chairman, Hon. Sikiru Sanda*, *Babaloja of Oyo State*, *Alhaji YK Abass*, and a host of others, in their separate remarks also described Professor Babatunde as a pious, honest, and humble man who values community service and upholds Islamic principles.

The SSG, Professor Babatunde, expressed gratitude to everyone who celebrated with him, thanking Allah for His favor upon his life and family. He noted that he feels blessed to have “Adunni” as his mother, wife, and first daughter’s name.

He encouraged the children at the orphanage to remain focused on their education, expressing hope to see them gain admission into tertiary institutions and excel in their studies.

“Among these children are promising doctors, lawyers, engineers, and leaders of tomorrow. I pray for their success and for Allah’s continued guidance over Governor Seyi Makinde, his deputy, and the entire government team,” he said.
