Residents of Ward 1, Aare Latoosa Compound, Ibadan North Federal Constituency, have expressed gratitude to PDP candidate Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (Don) for his generous donation of ₦2 million to repair the community’s borehole, which has been out of service for months.

The donation aims to restore access to clean water, a basic right that has been denied to the residents for far too long.

Hon. Oyekunle emphasized that the gesture is part of his commitment to improving the living conditions of his constituents. “This is not just about repairing a borehole; it’s about restoring dignity and ensuring that our people don’t suffer for something as basic as water,” he stated.

Grateful residents hailed the PDP candidate for his swift intervention, describing him as a compassionate leader who listens and responds promptly to the needs of the people. The repair work is expected to commence immediately, bringing relief to the community and easing the burden of water scarcity.

In a related development, Hon. Oyekunle also made a cash donation towards the repair of a transformer serving the Sabo area of Ibadan North. The transformer, donated by Hon. Dada Awoleye over eight years ago, had been abandoned, leaving residents in darkness.

The renewed effort to revive it has sparked hope for improved electricity supply in the area.
