Entire Ethiopian Youth Football Team Goes Missing in Sweden After Gothia Cup
An entire youth football team from Ethiopia has gone missing in Sweden following the Gothia Cup youth tournament in Gothenburg, sparking an international search.
Tournament organisers said the event ended 10 days ago, but authorities report the group has not returned to Ethiopia and remains unaccounted for.
According to _Sweden Herald_, about 20 people — mostly players aged 14 to 17 and several adult supervisors — left their hotel without checking out and have not been located.
Officers are now working with the Swedish Migration Agency, border police, and authorities in other countries to trace the team.
