Adekanmbi, Open Salawu storm Igboho, canvass unity among APM stakeholders

The ancient town of Igboho came alive on Wednesday as the Allied Peoples’ Movement, APM, gubernatorial candidate, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, and his running mate, Engr. Muftau Open-Salawu, continued their Thank You Tour with a grand reception for party leaders and stakeholders from Irepo, Oorelope and Olorunsogo Local Government Areas.

The event, which was attended by party executives, leaders, and loyal members, served as a platform to reaffirm commitment to the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Addressing the gathering, Hon. Adekanmbi expressed appreciation to members for their support during the party’s gubernatorial nomination process, describing the mandate as a collective responsibility that belongs to every committed member of the APM.

“The strength of our party lies in unity, discipline and our shared vision to build a greater Oyo State. We must remain steadfast, shun divisions and work together as one family,” he said.

The gubernatorial hopeful however assured party faithful of an inclusive administration anchored on fairness, equity and a sense of belonging for all members, irrespective of status or background.

He further emphasized his commitment to participatory leadership, noting that major decisions affecting the party and government would be made through broad consultation with leaders, stakeholders and the people.

“We will not impose decisions. We will engage at the grassroots, strengthen local governance and deliver people-oriented policies that will accelerate development across every community in Oyo State,” Adekanmbi pledged.

However, in his remarks, Engr. Open-Salawu commended the party faithful for their overwhelming support and urged them to sustain the momentum towards delivering victory for the APM in 2027.

The event ended on a high note with party leaders and members reaffirming their unwavering support for the Adekanmbi-Open-Salawu ticket and resolving to work collectively for the success of the party.
