JUST IN: Kidnapped Oorelope Farmer Rescued, Local Government Says 

MOUTHPIECE NGR reports that a farmer abducted in Budo Sule village, Oorelope Local Government Area, has been rescued, local officials said Saturday. 

Alhaji Taylor was kidnapped during the early hours of June 24, 2026, according to a statement from Oorelope Local Government Chairman Hon. Ogundiran Jacob Oluwale. 

The Vigilante Group of Nigeria, Oorelope branch, and the Amotekun Security Network responded immediately and carried out coordinated operations that led to Taylor’s safe recovery, the statement said. 

Oluwale described the rescue as evidence of the administration’s commitment to protecting lives and property. 

He credited the response to cooperation among security agencies and support from the Oyo State government. 

The chairman urged residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity to security agencies. 

“Through timely information sharing and sustained collaboration, we will continue to build a safer, more peaceful and secure Oorelope,” he said.
