*Olorunsogo APC Rejects Claim of Rep Primary, Insists Due Process Will Be Followed*
The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Olorunsogo Local Government has dismissed reports of a House of Representatives primary election in the area, describing them as false and misleading.
In a communiqué issued after a stakeholders’ meeting with party leaders and elders, APC leader Alhaji Rasaq Raji said no primary was conducted, no aspirant had been confirmed or affirmed, and no directive had been issued by the party.
“The claims made by one of the aspirants to the Federal House of Representatives regarding the conduct of a primary election in Olorunsogo Local Government is totally false and misleading,” the communiqué stated.
Raji reminded members that legitimate APC primaries must be conducted in line with party guidelines and under the supervision of INEC officials. He said any exercise held outside the laid-down procedures had no legal or political validity.
He urged APC members across Olorunsogo to remain calm, law-abiding, and united, and to disregard what he called sponsored misinformation aimed at causing confusion and division within the party.
“The All Progressives Congress remains one united, indivisible family, and all due processes will be followed at the appropriate time,” Raji said.
The meeting, held at his residence, was attended by party leaders and elders who unanimously condemned the claim.
