ADII Oyo State Forum Backs Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi as Successor to Gov. Seyi Makinde, Commends Governor’s Leadership
The *Advocacy for Disability Inclusive Initiative (ADII) Oyo State Forum* has declared its full support for *Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi* following his emergence as the preferred successor to *Governor Seyi Makinde*. The Forum described the development as a positive step toward sustaining the current administration’s achievements in Oyo State.
In a statement issued after a WhatsApp leadership meeting led by *Amb. Oyedeji Olusegun Abayomi*, Coordinator of ADII Oyo State and GSM Volunteers PWDs Omituntun 2.0, the Forum expressed satisfaction with Hon. Adekanmbi’s emergence.
“We are pleased with the emergence of Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi as the successor to Governor Seyi Makinde. We believe he possesses the leadership qualities, administrative experience, and vision needed to consolidate on the remarkable achievements of this administration,” the statement read.
The ADII Forum noted that Hon. Adekanmbi has consistently distinguished himself through loyalty, competence, and dedication to grassroots development. His emergence, it said, has renewed hope among party loyalists, government stakeholders, and persons with disabilities across Oyo State.
According to ADII, supporting Adekanmbi is not only a political decision but a commitment to continuity, stability, and sustained progress.
The Forum also commended Governor Seyi Makinde for a leadership style that has transformed Oyo State through infrastructural development, education and healthcare reforms, economic growth initiatives, and inclusive empowerment programs for youth and persons with disabilities.
“Governor Makinde’s administration has set a governance standard that deserves continuity. Hon. Adekanmbi represents a credible path to preserve and expand that legacy,” the statement added.
ADII called on party members, political stakeholders, and residents of Oyo State to rally behind Adekanmbi in the interest of unity, development, and continued progress, stressing the principle of *“No One Left Behind.”*
“As GSM has shown friendship and inclusion toward the disability community, we believe this support will ensure that PWDs remain part of Oyo State’s future,” said Amb. Oyedeji Olusegun Abayomi.
