Mapo Hall to Host Hon. Saheed Abimbola’s Ramadan Lecture on Saturday
In the spirit of Ramadan, former Oyo State House of Assembly Aspirant for Ibadan South East Local Government Area, Hon. Saheed Abimbola Oladimeji, is hosting a special Ramadan lecture to promote spiritual reflection, unity, and communal harmony.
The event is set for Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 1 pm at Mapo Hall, Ibadan, with the theme ‘The Islamic Perspective of Greatness in Unity and Love’. This theme highlights the importance of unity, love, and harmony among Muslims and humanity, reflecting Islamic values of compassion, empathy, and mutual respect. It encourages Muslims to come together, strengthen bonds, and work towards societal betterment, in line with Quranic teachings on unity (Surah Al-Imran, verse 103) and Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) emphasis on love and kindness.
The Grand Chief Imam of Ibadanland, along with other respected Islamic clerics and scholars, will attend. The father of the day is Ambassador Taofeeq Arapaja, PDP National Secretary. Distinguished guests include Hon. Dare Adeleke, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, Hon. Adigun Abass Agboworin, Professor Daud Sangodoyin, Hon. Ademola Ige, and the chief host, Hon. Emmanuel Alawode, chairman of Ibadan South East Local Government Area.
The Chief Lecturer will be the Grand Chief Imam of Ogbomosland, Sheikh Yunus Teliat Ayilara. The event will also offer prayers for peace, unity, and development in Oyo State and Nigeria. Members of the Muslim Ummah and the general public are invited to attend this spiritually uplifting program.
