Eid-al-Fitr: Owonifaari Commends Muslim Faithful, Calls for Compassion
Hon. Saheed Oladimeji Owonifaari, a chairmanship hopeful for Ibadan Southeast Local Government Area, has sent warm greetings to Muslim faithful across Oyo State and Nigeria on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement released on Friday, Hon. Owonifaari described the season as a time for deep reflection, renewed faith, and a recommitment to the ideals of sacrifice, compassion, and service to humanity.
He praised the Muslim community for their dedication and encouraged them to carry the lessons of Ramadan into their daily lives.
According to Owonifaari, Eid signifies the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan, a time of sacrifice, devotion, and spiritual renewal.
He wished that Allah would accept the fasting, prayers, and acts of charity, and reward everyone generously.
He equally urged Muslims to remember the less fortunate, offering kindness, support, and generosity as true expressions of their faith.
He stated: “On the joyous occasion of Eid al-Fitr, I extend my warmest greetings and heartfelt felicitations to all Muslim faithful, especially the good people of Ibadan South-East Local Government Area.
“Eid marks the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan, a period of sacrifice, devotion, and spiritual renewal. May Almighty Allah accept our fasting, prayers, and acts of charity, and reward us abundantly.
“As we celebrate this blessed day, may our homes be filled with peace, happiness, and prosperity. May the spirit of love, unity, and compassion that Ramadan has instilled in us continue to guide our daily lives and strengthen our communities.
“Let us also remember the less privileged among us, extending kindness, support, and generosity as true reflections of our faith.
“I pray that Allah grants us good health, long life, and continuous guidance as we work together for the peace, progress, and development of our dear Local Government, State, and Nation.”
