Irepo LG Boss appreciates Oyo Govt over approval of Kishi-Igboho road reconstruction
The Executive Chairman of Irepo Local Government, Hon. Tunde Taoheed Olayiwola, has expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Oyo State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, FNSE, and his Deputy, His Excellency, Barr. Bayo Lawal, for the approval of the reconstruction of the 30-kilometre Kishi–Igboho Road.
In a statement on Friday, the council boss described the development as a clear demonstration of the government’s commitment to equitable growth and infrastructural advancement across the state.
Recall that the reconstruction of the 30-kilometre Kishi–Igboho Road was approved at a cost of ₦38,689,548,227.66 (Thirty-eight billion, six hundred and eighty-nine million, five hundred and forty-eight thousand, two hundred and twenty-seven naira, sixty-six kobo) during the recent State Executive Council meeting held in Ibadan.
Hon. Olayiwola specially commended the Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Barr. Bayo Lawal, for his unwavering dedication, hard work, and selfless efforts in ensuring that the dream of Kishi–Igboho Road reconstruction becomes a reality.
He prayed that no evil force or misunderstanding will ever come between the Governor and his Deputy, as their unity continues to birth unprecedented development across Oyo State.
Hon. Olayiwola however noted that the road project would significantly ease transportation, promote trade, and enhance the overall economic activities of the Oke-Ogun region.
He also commended Governor Makinde’s inclusive governance style, which continues to bring meaningful development to every part of Oyo State.
The Council Chairman, speaking on behalf of the people of Irepo Local Government, reaffirmed their continuous support and cooperation with the Makinde-led administration.
He assured that the people remain appreciative of the government’s commitment to transforming rural and urban communities through impactful infrastructural projects.
