Peace Restored in Aaje/Ogunbado/Oke Agbede Ward 2 as Council and Party Chairmen Settle Rift

There was renewed peace and unity on Tuesday as the Executive Chairman of Ogbomoso North Local Government, Hon. George Gbadegesin Ogunlade, and the Party Chairman, Hon. Sikiru Idowu, successfully resolved the lingering disagreement between the executives of Aaje/Ogunbado/Oke Agbede Ward 2 and some aggrieved party members.

For weeks, tension had gripped the ward as some members expressed dissatisfaction over internal matters and even threatened to withdraw from the party ahead of the last ward congress. The development had created division within the ward and raised concerns among loyal members.

In a decisive move to restore harmony, a peace meeting was convened at Ogunbado area, where both the local government chairman and the party chairman personally intervened. The meeting brought together key stakeholders, ward executives, and the aggrieved members to address all outstanding issues.

After several hours of open and honest dialogue, the matter was amicably resolved, and both sides agreed to move forward in unity.

In his remarks, Hon. George Gbadegesin Ogunlade appreciated God for the peaceful outcome and commended all parties for their maturity and understanding. He encouraged everyone to let go of past grievances and work together for the progress of the party.

“We are all members of the same family,” he said. “There’s no victory in division. Let’s remain united and focus on strengthening our ward and our party as a whole.”

Also speaking, the Party Chairman, Hon. Sikiru Idowu, thanked members for their patience and cooperation. He assured everyone that no member would be sidelined in party activities, promising fair treatment and inclusiveness at all levels.

“Our unity is our strength,” he emphasized. “We must continue to stand together. Every member is important, and together we’ll achieve greater things.”

The meeting ended on a joyful note as both the executives and the aggrieved members reaffirmed their loyalty to the party and pledged to work in harmony for its continued success.
