N5m Support: Open Salawu commits N50k to support 100 parents, donates entire salary to community
The Chairman of Oyo State Project Performance Monitoring Agency, Engr. Open Salawu, has pledged to support 100 parents with N50,000 each, totaling N5 million, to alleviate the financial burden of back-to-school expenses.
Open, Salawu, who equally declared his decision to donate his entire salary to support the less privileged in the community, said the gesture is part of his efforts to give back to the community and support those in need.
He made this disclosure in a statement personally signed and made available to MOUTHPIECE NGR on Wednesday.
Salawu, who is the Babalaje of Ogbomoso land, had earlier provided N5 million in financial support to five individuals to boost their business ventures.
The beneficiaries include: Ajani Abosede, Moses Oyetunji, Hassana Jimoh, Hammed Musbau, and Azeez Idiayat in which each of them received N1 million.
According to the Chairman, the initiative demonstrates his commitment to supporting his community and promoting the welfare of its members.
His words: “As per my commitment when appointed Executive Assistant to His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde FNSE, Executive Governor of Oyo State, I’m fulfilling my promise to donate my entire salary back to the community to support those in need.
“As you may recall, last year I provided financial support to five individuals – Ajani Abosede, Moses Oyetunji, Hassana Jimoh, Hammed Musbau, and Azeez Idiayat – each receiving N1 million to boost their business ventures, totaling N5 million.
“This year, I’m providing support to 100 parents with N50,000 each, totaling N5 million, to help alleviate the financial burden of back-to-school expenses.
“I’ve learned that giving is essential, and I strive to do so, not for validation, but because of the blessings I’ve received.”.
