Oriire Youth Council Reaffirms Non-Partisan Integrity, Receives Commendation from NOA

The Oriire Youth Council (OYC) has once again reaffirmed its non-partisan stance as a formidable youth body, following an appreciation letter from the National Orientation Agency (NOA) for the successful joint execution of a week-long Voter Registration and PVC Collection sensitization campaign across Oriire Local Government.

In the letter dated 23rd August, 2025, signed by Adeniyi Oluseyi Gideon, the Community Mobilization Officer of NOA, Oriire LGA, the agency described OYC as “worthy partners in nation building.” The letter partly reads:

“Your dedication, active participation, and mobilization of the youth greatly contributed to the success of the sensitization drive. Through your collaborative efforts, we were able to raise awareness among our people on the importance of voter registration, PVC collection, and active civic engagement in the democratic process. This partnership is a clear demonstration of the strength of community collaboration in driving positive change.”

The NOA further expressed confidence in future collaborations with OYC on programmes

“geared towards national development, civic enlightenment, and youth empowerment.”

In line with this recognition and to safeguard its non-partisan integrity, the OYC at its recent review meeting inaugurated a Caution Committee to monitor and address any tendencies that may compromise the neutrality of the Council. Members of the public are hereby encouraged to reach out directly to the committee for clarifications or observations:

  • Ojo Oluwasegun (APC member) — +2348069825878
  • Ojo Aderemi (PDP member) — +2348061274290

The Council believes that transparency and openness remain the strongest guarantees for trust, as it continues to serve as a voice for the collective development of Oriire youths, without bias or political coloration.
