Ogbomoso North Chairman Renovates Waste Truck, Calls for Community Clean-Up
The Executive Chairman of Ogbomoso North Local Government, Hon. George Gbadegesin Ogunlade, has refurbished a waste management truck to strengthen refuse collection and disposal operations within the council.
According to a statement made available to Mouthpiece NGR on Monday, the step is part of his administration’s ongoing efforts to tackle waste challenges and foster a cleaner, healthier environment for residents.
While commending the Director who supervised the project for delivering quality work, the chairman also appreciated the dedication of the waste management team whose commitment has kept the community cleaner.
He, however, appealed to residents to support government’s efforts by embracing proper waste disposal habits and cooperating with sanitation workers.
Ogunlade said: “Maintaining a hygienic environment requires collective responsibility from both government and the people.
“The repaired truck—a Ford vehicle designed for waste bin repairs and refuse evacuation—will significantly improve service delivery and enhance efficiency in waste management across Ogbomoso North.”
This intervention, Hon. Ogunlade emphasized, reflects his administration’s people-centered approach to governance and its resolve to deliver sustainable solutions that improve everyday life.
