Federal Polytechnic Ayede to Hold 3rd Matriculation Ceremony Thursday

The Federal Polytechnic Ayede, Oyo State, is gearing up for its 3rd matriculation ceremony, scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 27, 2025. 

The event will commence with a procession at 9:00 a.m., followed by the ceremony at 10:00 a.m. at the institution’s temporary site in Iresa-Pupa, Surulere Local Government Area of Oyo State.

According to the Rector, Engr. Dr. Taofeek Adekunle Abdul-Hameed, the institution has made significant progress since its establishment in 2021. 

The polytechnic initially admitted its pioneer students into four departments and has since expanded to offer 12 National Diploma (ND) programs across five schools.

The freshers’ orientation ceremonies, which began on Tuesday, March 25, and continue on Wednesday, March 26, will feature addresses from eminent scholars and professionals. 

The institution has been focused on achieving academic excellence, infrastructure development, training, and re-training, as well as promoting sports and other extracurricular activities.

As the institution prepares to matriculate its new students, it is clear that Federal Polytechnic Ayede is committed to providing quality education and opportunities for growth and development.

A statement made available to our correspondent indicated that the institution, founded in 2021 along five others during former President Muhammed Buhari administration, admitted its pioneer students for the 2022/2023 academic session into four Departments: Science Laboratory Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Computer Science and Statistics.

It added: “Last year, eight more National Diploma (ND) programmes were added, making 12 ND programmes in Computer Engineering Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology, Agricultural Technology, Science Laboratory Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Tourism Management Technology, Estate Management and Valuation, Urban and Regional Planning, Accountancy, Business Administration and Management as well as Public Administration.

“The 12 ND programmes are located in five Schools of Agricultural Technology, Science and Technology, Engineering Technology, Environment Technology and Management Sciences.”

A staff of the institution, Mr Inaolaji Akinloye, who also confirmed the development to MOUTHPIECE NGR, noted that the institution is thriving under Engr. Dr. Taofeek Adekunle Abdul-Hameed, and has continued to make significant progress since its establishment.

He commended the Rector for his leadership, dedication, and positive impact on the institution and its students, noting that the institution is on the path of becoming a world-class institution.

“We have no doubt in Dr. Abdul-Hameed led management and his ability as demonstrated early on. We are very much confident that the Rector will move the institution forward to the next level of development and progress without rancour or discrimination,” Inaolaji said.
