Akobo Integrity Lions club pays courtesy call on Oyo Deputy Gov
Members of the Akobo Integrity Lions Club District 404-B4 Nigeria, has paid a courtesy call on Oyo Deputy Governor, Barr. Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal.
The Lions, who visited the Deputy Governor at the Governor’s office on Friday, thanked him for his support, particularly during the club’s investiture ceremony for the newly elected president and other officers for the 24/25 Lion year, which took place at the Providence Arena Hotel and Suites in Akobo, Ibadan.
Led by its seventh president, Lion Esv Sarafadeen Toyeshe Lawal, the General Manager of Housing Corporation, the President of the Club stated that the purpose of the courtesy call was to thank the Deputy Governor for his support of the club’s development.
According to Lawal, the club last year presented an aesthetic pin of outstanding recognition to Barr. Lawal and made him a full member of Lions International for his exceptional contributions to humanity and development.
He said: “Today, we paid His Excellency, Barr. Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, a courtesy visit to appreciate him for his support and to brief him about our ongoing activities especially projects we are about to commission on the 27th of this month. We have a block 3 classroom-that we have just completed.
“We want to handle it to Hon. Commissioner via SUBEB. Akobo Integrity Lions Club is a philanthropic organization that provides in line with the need of the people.”
Members of the group included Lion Esv Sarafadeen Toyeshe Lawal , Lion Engr Sola Adeola, Lion Alhaja Omotayo Azeez, Lion Toye Badmus, and Lion Salawu.
