Irepo LG Chairman, Olayiwola Advocates Educational Excellence at KISA Spelling Bee and Essay Writing Competition
The Executive Chairman of Irepo Local Government, Hon. Tunde Taoheed Olayiwola, on Wednesday, advocated for educational excellence at KISA Spelling Bee and Essay Writing Competition*
Kishi Students’ Association (KISA) National body had hosted its Spelling Bee and Essay Writing Competition at the School of Nursing and Basic Midwifery, Kishi.
The Chairman, who was represented by the Council Supervisory Councillor for Education, Hon. Adediji Oluwaseun, praised the impactful leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde, Deputy Governor Barr. Bayo Lawal, and Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Abdulwaheed Soliu Adelabu.
He highlighted their relentless efforts in advancing education and ensuring Oyo State stands out among its peers.
He said: “Today, we celebrate the joy of learning, the thrill of competition, and the love of words. This gathering exemplifies the dedication to advancing education in our community.”
Oluwaseun encouraged teachers to continue their noble work in nurturing excellence among students and urged the students to see the competition as an opportunity for growth, emphasizing the importance of participation, self-belief, and learning from mistakes.
He equally commended members of KISA for their commitment to education and advised them to remain focused on their mission despite challenges, praying for divine guidance in their endeavors.
Hon. Oluwaseun was accompanied by Hon. Oyewole Arimiyau, Supervisor for Youths and Sports, Mr. Oladoja Rasheed, Head of Unit, Education Department and other key Irepo local government officials.
