Oyo Deputy Gov congratulates Imam Toliat as he bags PhD from UI

The Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barr. Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, has congratulated the chief Imam of Ogbomoso land, Dr. Yunus Toliat Olusina Ayilara for bagging his PhD from the prestigious University of Ibadan (UI).

In his congratulatory message on Monday, the Deputy Governor described Imam Toliat as a renowned Islamic scholar whose commitment to study and personal development have distinguished him as an erudite and outstanding figure in Oyo state.

According to him, this outstanding feat is one that describes the Chief Imam’s sheer capacity to take on multiple endeavours at a time, and yet delivering flawlessly.

Noting that education remained the best path to long-term peace and progress in Nigeria, Barr. Lawal prayed God to give him the enablement to use the certificate achieved for the development of Oyo state and the advancement of humanity.

He said: “It gives me the greatest pleasure to join thousands of your throngs of admirers and associates in congratulating you on your academic success.

“It is true that only intellectuals may achieve the pinnacle of academic achievement with a PhD degree, as you just did.

“So, I want to congratulate you on your recent academic achievement. May Allah Ta’ala give you the willpower to use the knowledge you’ve learnt to further the spread of Islam and, consequently, a thriving Nigeria.”
