Independence Day: Arapaja Preaches Love, Peace Among Nigerians

The Deputy National Chairman (South) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja has called on Nigerians to eschew religious , tribal and ethnic conflict and join hands to plan for the betterment of the country.

Ambassador Arapaja stressed that only when there is unity and love that progress and development can abound.

In a statement he personally signed but made available to journalists through his Personal Assistant, Bamitale Ibrahim, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja congratulated Nigerians for the journey so far, noting that though there were storms and unease, the fulfilment of hope for a better Nigeria is a around the corner.

His words: “I must congratulate Nigerians for our painstaking tolerance since independence. We have gone through storms but it has not swept us away. Since we are alive to witness another year, there is a great hope that a better Nigeria is possible”.

Ambassador Arapaja, however expressed displeasure that at 64, Nigeria is yet to pick up and it is still under- developed. He urges Nigerian citizens to come together as a united nation to offer fervent prayers on behalf of Nigerian Leaders, that God shall grant them wisdom and divine direction to steer Nigeria’s ship on the path of prosperity, peace and progress” .
